WHAT CAUSES ACNE/PIMPLE ?
During puberty or teenage years various hormonal changes influence the small oil glands called sebaceous glands, to increase in size and produce more oil. Some of this gets become clogged by the debris of cells shed into the opening of these glands.
This trapped sebum further invites a bacteria Propionibacterium acnes. Our body reacts to this by causing inflammation, redness, pain and pus formation.
